Swimming at Havant
The Horizon Havant swim page describes a 25m main pool, used for lane swimming, fitness sessions and lessons, and a teaching and splash pool, described as a warmer space for families and early swimmers. It lists lockers for which you bring a £1 coin or token, a fully equipped changing room and a pool hoist for people with additional needs.
The page links a weekly swimming timetable, labelled as the Havant swimming timetable for term time (September). Check that PDF for lane swimming, family sessions and quieter times, because we do not copy session times here. According to Horizon's Havant FAQs, there is no need to pre-book public or lane sessions, but it advises pre-booking family float sessions. Horizon also runs the Horizon Swim School, which it says follows the Swim England framework, and the Havant and Waterlooville Swimming Club, for swimmers aged 7 and over who can swim 25 metres confidently. We do not quote prices, so see the Horizon Leisure website for current memberships and charges.
Gym, classes and family activities
Horizon says Havant has a multi-storey gym and an exercise studio, with over 100 classes a week across the studio, pool and gym, including Les Mills classes. You can book a gym tour by calling 02392 247 026, and Horizon says it cannot tour after 5pm at weekends. The council's page also lists activities such as 5-a-side football, badminton, squash, table tennis, pickleball, a crèche, toddler groups, birthday parties and school holiday activities across the Horizon centres, though what runs at Havant specifically is shown on Horizon's Havant pages. For things to do with children, see our things to do with kids guide.
How do I get to Havant Leisure Centre?
Horizon says the centre is a two-minute walk from Havant train station, and that the number 21 and 39 buses stop right outside. It also lists buses 20, 23, 30, 31, 37 and 74 as stopping in Havant town, a short walk away. The council's own list of borough bus routes is on its bus services page; see our Havant buses guide and train station guide for more.
Horizon Wellbeing Hub
The Horizon Wellbeing Hub is at The Meridian Shopping Centre, Elm Lane, Havant, PO9 1UN, according to Horizon's find a centre page. Horizon describes it as a supportive space for starting or returning to exercise at your own pace, with a gym space and a studio. Contact it on wellbeinghub@horizonlc.com. The page says health checks are offered, so check the page for what is currently available and for prices.

The council lists a full-size floodlit artificial grass football pitch, changing facilities, a publicly accessible cafe, community space and a floodlit multi-use sports area with markings for tennis, basketball and netball. The Hampshire FA page gives the address as Sombourne Drive, Havant, PO9 5AN, lists free parking and says to check Pay and Play availability before travelling. The council's contact for the hub is 023 9387 9998. See our Leigh Park area page for the neighbourhood.
